Benefits of Tai Chi
Through the use of slow full range motions Tai Chi provides an excellent form of exercise for all age groups. It helps balance, strength, and range of motion for the whole body. Tai Chi with its slow rocking motions is also an excellent method of calming the mind and relieving stress. In addition to the multiple beneficial effects Tai Chi has on the mind and body it is still a martial art which allows you to learn a wide range of self defence techniques.

About the Instructor
Sifu James Hilche began his journey studying Tai Chi and Kung Fu in 1995. In 2002 he recieved his Teacher Certificate in Tai Chi, and in 2005 he was awarded his Instructor title in Tai Chi, Shaolin, and Hsing I.
Sifu Hilche has devoted much of his life to the pursuit of traditional martial arts study. Along the way he has also studied; Pa Qua, Chi Kung, Chinese Weapons, Yoshin Ryu Jujutsu, Shotokan-Ryu Karate, and Italian Rapier Fencing to name a few.

History of Tai Chi
Yang Tai Chi style is the most widely studied of the four main styles of Tai Chi. The founder of Yang style Tai Chi was Yang Luchan. Yang learned Tai Chi from Chen Zhangxing the master of broad-framed Chen Tai Chi. Through the Yang family, the system passed from Luchan to Jianhou (son), to Chengfu (grandson) with each generation making its mark. The Yang style that is most widely known is Chengfu Yang's broad-frame Yang Tai Chi.
